Even though embarking on their maiden European adventure, Crystal Palace are adapting at a rapid pace. Without star figures like striker Jean-Philippe Mateta and defender Daniel Muñoz, the London club departed Dublin with a commanding result that all but guarantees them a spot in the Conference League playoffs.
A further three points in their next fixture against Finland's KuPS should be enough to secure straight passage to the last 16, especially after a previous stumble against Strasbourg.
Squad Members Grasp the Moment
This match provided a chance for some of Palace's lesser-used talent to shine. Christantus Uche, in only his second start after joining on loan from Getafe, opened the account with a clinical goal. Forward Eddie Nketiah added a second, scoring for the second consecutive succession.
The Shelbourne team that had concluded their league season proved outmatched even for a mostly rotated Palace lineup. The Londoners were already depleted by the reports that Mateta and Muñoz are sidelined with leg problems.

Following the break, manager Oliver Glasner seized the opportunity to withdraw several individuals like Kamada and Wharton. Replacement Romain Esse almost scoring with his first touch, only to see his effort blocked.
The youngster was desperately unlucky later on, seeing one attempt strike off each posts before being gathered on the line. Uche then blazed a glaring chance, indicating there is still scope for improvement in his game.
The only concern for Palace was a late injury to Justin Devenny, who was forced off. This allowed 17-year-old forward Benji Casey to earn his first-team debut, rounding off an otherwise perfect night for the visiting side.
