I will stamp all over 'legitimate boxer' Paul - Joshua

Anthony Joshua and Jake Paul face-off

The British boxer prepares to battle the American YouTuber in an eight-bout contest which will be broadcast live on the streaming platform.

Briton Joshua stated he will "stamp all over" Jake Paul and "overpower" his opponent as the combatants confronted each other to promote next month's boxing match.

Ex two-time world heavyweight champion Anthony Joshua battles YouTuber-turned-boxer Jake Paul - in what is, by the numbers, a massive mismatch - at Miami arena on December 19th.

Boxer's Mentality

"I plan to damage his features and break his body up. I aim to demonstrate I'm the better fighter," the British boxer, 35 years old, said.

"I plan to overwhelm him. That's the boxer's mindset.

"I'm going to genuinely try to injure him. That's my intention."

Civil Exchange

In spite of those words, a composed Anthony Joshua and internet personality Paul - normally famous for his showmanship - were respectful and remained civil with each other.

Paul rather attacked ex Joshua's rival the Cameroonian fighter and called him "a joke" after Ngannou turned down a bout proposal.

Taking Aim at Tyson Fury

Joshua, meanwhile, criticized British opponent Tyson Fury - and refused a large bet 'Tyson Fury' claims he will make on a Paul victory.

"[Paul] is superior to Tyson Fury - he's actually sitting here," Joshua commented.

"I respect him for that."

Legitimate Opponent

In spite of stating he plans to punish Paul, Joshua declined to comment unfavorably about his rival's pugilistic talent.

"Jake is a legitimate boxer," he stated.

Jake Paul's Background

Paul - who first rose to fame on the television network - has primarily boxed mixed martial artists or declining opponents since entering professional boxing.

He was defeated by British fighter Tommy Fury in 2023.

Commercial Success

However, the inexperienced fighter continues to be one of the sport's biggest money-making draws, consistently making huge paydays.

Forecast and Confidence

The 28-year-old forecast a stoppage in the fourth or fifth round and stated he would stop the long-awaited Fury-Joshua bout, which is allegedly being planned for two years from now.

"It will be my match with Fury next year," Paul stated.

Physical Disparity

As both boxers met for the customary stare-down, with their size difference evident, it drove home just how improbable this entire matchup is - and how astonishing it is that the bout is really proceeding.
